The Panzerkampfwagen VIII Maus is a German prototype super-heavy tank from World War II, which still arouses great interest today. It is the largest and heaviest tank ever built, weighing about 188 tons. The project was commissioned by the German army in 1942 to Krupp, and its development was supervised by a special commission headed by Ferdinand Porsche.

Despite ambitious plans, only two unfinished prototypes were built, which never entered combat service. In April 1945, the Red Army captured both vehicles at the Kummersdorf training ground, and their components were used to assemble one tank, which is currently an exhibit at the Kubinka Tank Museum near Moscow.
